- Coin operated cam locks Coin operated cam locks are opened and closed using a wrench or coin rather than a key to rotate the cam and move the latch into an open or closed position.
- Tool operated cam locks Tool operated cam locks operate with a special tool to open the lock. Tool types include: tri-head keys, square-head keys, allen keys and double barbed keys.
- Tool operated plunger locks Tool operated plunger locks are typically used on sliding doors or on the side of a file cabinet. In the locked position a plunger engages to hold the lock closed, when opened the plunger retracts towards the lock opening it.
